Nutrigenomics

I am very excited to share that I have become a provider through Nutrigenomix! Nutrigenomics is the study of the interaction of nutrition and genes, especially with regard to the prevention or treatment of disease. I originally started my career in culinary nutrition, but coming back into the clinical space has sparked my passion for preventative wellness and medicine.

What is Nutrigenomics?

Nutrigenomics focuses on tying together the foods that you eat and the way your genes may interact with them. Nutrigenomics can help with hormone balance, weight loss, sports performance, fertility, decreasing cancer risk, gluten/lactose sensitivities, and much, much more! The test is broken down into multiple categories, including nutrient metabolism, food intolerances and sensitivities, cardiometabolic health, weight management and body composition, eating habits (fat taste perception/sugar preference), exercise physiology, and additional genetic insights. Genetic variation can determine how we metabolize and utilize the foods, nutrients, and supplements that we ingest!

How does this process work?

Step 1: Order a test

Order a nutrigenomix test through this link and see the details below for pricing and options!  Be sure to use the code NGX50 for $50 off!

You can choose the type of base test kit you would like:

  • 70-gene test-$348 ($299 with code)

  • 77-gene test (includes hormone and methylation panel)-$399 ($348 with code)

  • Pharmacogenetics test- I am not offering this one at this time.

And then you choose the report format:

  • Health and Wellness - Most common

  • Sport

  • Fertility

  • Plant based


You can also choose to add on tests such as:

  • Skin test

  • Pharmacogenetics test- unavailable at this time

Step 2: Taking the test and awaiting results

This test is shipped directly to your home and then is sent back to Nutrigenomix. The results are available within 2 weeks of the lab receiving your swab. Once they are uploaded to my provider portal, I will contact you to schedule a session!

Step 3: Consultation call

Once your results have been uploaded, I will contact you within the next business day to schedule a 90-minute consultation. The price of this consultation is $119. At this time, we will review your results in-depth and determine the best nutrition choices for you based on your genes! After this session, you can book additional follow-up sessions at $79 for 60 minutes. Sessions can be virtual or in person. At this time, I typically book in the evenings and weekends.

PRICING DETAILS FOR NUTRIGENOMICS:

The cost of the test kit is paid directly to Nutrigenomics, and pricing is determined by their company. The $119 consultation fee is a separate invoice for the consultation services and is payable through my Healthie Medical Record Platform. This fee is due the day of the consultation.

*Please note that insurance companies at this time do not cover the cost of nutrigenomics testing, but HSA’s can usually be used to purchase this*
